Cholesterol – Many people of Western civilization suffer from high cholesterol. But what does that mean in concrete terms and what can be done about it?
* I remember when about 30 years ago, my grandfather had too high cholesterol. We had never heard of it before and my grandmother was visibly worried about having to change diet and lifestyle. But what exactly does cholesterol mean?
What is cholesterol?
Cholesterol itself is immensely important to our body. The fat-like substance is needed for numerous metabolic processes. The body itself produces most of the cholesterol itself in the liver and transports it into the rest of the blood. Furthermore, a distinction is made between good (LDL “low-density lipoproteins”) and bad (HDL “high-density lipoproteins”) cholesterol. High levels of cholesterol, caused by HDL, often show a dietary over-supply to the body and this can result in constricted veins. These in turn can cause arteriosclerosis and numerous cardiovascular diseases. Your cholesterol value can be determined by the doctor.
How can you prevent high cholesterol?
It is almost self-explanatory that we ourselves are responsible for our cholesterol. To maintain a healthy balance, it is important to ensure a healthy and balanced diet. In a cholesterol-conscious diet, you have to make sure that you eat less animal fat, sugar and carbohydrates. The proportion of high – quality fats, such as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, should therefore be increased. On the plate should be a Mediterranean mixed diet with lots of vegetables, fruits and fish or a basic diet. But how can you reduce cholesterol by natural means?
Diet and nutritional supplementation with high cholesterol
Red rice and Monacolin-K: Especially effective is the combination of red rice and Monacolin-K. The rice from China and fermented by the red fungus Monascus purpureus rice contains the ingredient Monacolin-K. It has been scientifically proven that Monacolin-K stabilizes cholesterol. Only 10mg Monacolin-K daily are enough to maintain a normal cholesterol level. This has also been confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in accordance with the Health Claims Regulation. Now, of course, you can not eat daily red trips, so in this case, the intake of this nutritional supplement BioProphyl red rice would be highly recommended. For me personally at the moment the favorite, because you can make the best progress with it.
Blueberries are healthy slimming products. Regular consumption helps to reduce cholesterol levels.
Linseed oil is known for its omega-3 fatty acids. It is best to mix a spoonful of linseed oil into his yoghurt daily. If you do this over a longer period, you will definitely make good progress in the fight against cholesterol.
